Change Your Guitar Playing Forever

Do you wonder how the most amazing guitar players get that way?
Do you want to know how you can get there too?

What do you always hear about practising guitar?

"Every day you are not practising, you are getting worse"
"How do you get to play at Carnegie Hall? Practise, practise, practise."
"Practise makes perfect."

These are the types of things you hear about practising music and how important it is towards improving on the guitar.

There is more to practising than just "practise, practise, practise". It has to be deliberate practise, with purpose, direction, using the correct techniques. On top of that, enjoyment.

A lot of people will often practise without purpose, or play the same thing over and over again.

Or they will force themselves to practise while not enjoying the process.

What really isn't talked about when it comes to practising guitar

Yes, hard work is important when it comes to achieving what you want. And if you want to get to a high level of anything, it's important.

However, the emotional connection you have with what you are doing is important too.

So, try to enjoy your practise on guitar.

Because it is part of your journey, and as I always say:

If you can stay optimistic, joyful and enjoy as much of it as possible, then you will keep going.

And when you don't give up, you will always get there in the end.

Plus, the more you enjoy something, the more you will want to do it too!
